“A remake of the iconic EDSA anthem of 1986 written by Jim Paredes. This time old veterans and millennials do the song with a modern arrangement, video treatment, and a fresh new rendition with a rap portion,” the caption says.

Paredes, who composed the anthem in 1986, was emotional as he looked back at the EDSA revolution through his Instagram page.

“I was still a child when the [EDSA People Power] happened. May the Filipino people cherish this glorious moment in our history. May the spirit of EDSA live on. God bless the [Philippines],” he wrote, along with the hashtag “no to history revisionism.”
