Taylor Swift has added another accolade to her ever-growing list of achievements after being named as the Global Recording Artist of the Year of 2022 by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI).

Swift is the only artist to win the award for the third time, having previously been awarded in 2014 and 2019. To recall, the IFPI aims to promote the value of the recorded music industry worldwide, as it analyzes insights, production, and other music-related content among artists around the globe.

Also included in IFPI’s annual chart are K-pop global sensation BTS coming in at the second rank, which marks their fifth time to be included. They previously won the Global Recording Artist of the Year in 2021.

K-pop boy groups Seventeen and Stray Kids also made an appearance in the list, where they came as sixth and seventh, respectively. This marks the former’s second time to be included in the IFPI’s latest report.

Seventeen is a 13-member boy group managed by Pledis Entertainment, while Stray Kids is an eight-member unit formed by JYP Entertainment.
