Joey de Leon lamented how “cheaters” had set foot on “Pinoy Henyo,” one of the segments on “Eat Bulaga,” and reminded the public that cheating takes away the fun in any game.

The TV host spoke about this during an episode of the noontime variety show on Friday, Feb. 17.

“Simulan na natin ang pautakan pero [uunahin] ko na itong warning na ito,” he said. “Sa isang laro, ano ang ginagawa mo para mawala ‘yung saya o ‘yung fun? ‘Pag ikaw ay nandaya.”

(Let’s begin the battle of the brains, but before this, I would like to say this warning. In a game, what do you do to take away the fun? It’s when you cheat.)

“‘Pag nagchi-cheating ka sa isang game, wala na ‘yung fun (When you cheat in a game, the fun is no longer there),” he added, which had fellow host Allan K nodding in agreement and saying, “Pati ikaw madi-dishearten sa ginawa mo.” (Even yourself would be disheartened by what you did.)

Show host Jose Manalo also gave his sentiment on the topic and said they would be more watchful in their segments.

“Akalain niyo, itong ‘Pinoy Henyo’ ay pasukan ng mandaraya rin,” De Leon stated. “Kaya inuulit natin, kahit anong laro pa ‘yan, ‘pag nandaya kayo, wala na ‘yung fun.”

(Who would have thought that cheaters have already joined “Pinoy Henyo”? So we reiterate this: whatever the game may be, if you cheat, you take away the fun.)

While the show hosts did not mention any instance in particular, it can be noted that a clip of a “Pinoy Henyo” contestant seemingly mouthing the answer to her teammate earlier made rounds on social media.

Netizens on Twitter then appeared to have related this to De Leon’s recent statement and speculated that the TV host was alluding to the said contestant.
