MANILA, Philippines — Businessman Victor Consunji broke his silence on Friday as he accused his former wife Maggie Wilson of “systematic harassment and bullying.”

Consunji, in a statement, said he was finally speaking up “in light of recent events and increased malicious online attacks” made by Wilson.

“I make this statement to express once and for all my position regarding her systematic harassment and bullying of my family, friends, colleagues, and of myself and Ms. Rachel Carrasco, specifically,” he said.

Prior to him issuing the statement, Consunji said he had maintained his silence, “resorting only to lawful remedies to answer unlawful acts maligned to tarnish our reputations and character.”

“And while it is lamentable that Ms. Wilson has debased herself through social media posts and stories, it has always been my stance that this abhorrent behavior is undeserving of my attention,” he said.

But according to Consunji, the “persistent prodding and dissemination of misinformation” by Wilson needs to be addressed.

Consunji said that Wilson is facing a string of cases for alleged adultery and cyberlibel, among others.

Civil cases likewise hound the former beauty queen over purportedly unrecovered funds and swindled investments, he added.

“She is currently a fugitive, unwilling to face judgment, fleeing as an admission of her own guilt,” Consunji asserted.

He also claimed that Wilson’s relatives are in violation of a lease contract as they are occupying his property.

“While previously, I would have agreed to an amicable separation and settlement, Ms. Wilson’s behavior to deliberately disrupt my son’s peace and to provoke, threaten and subject me, Ms. Caracaso, or the people around us to trial by publicity will fail to yield her any financial or personal gain,” Consunji said.

He pointed out that Wilson’s actions have pushed him to enforce their prenuptial agreement “strictly and without further consideration.”

“Lastly, in all of this, I will protect my family, my children and my loved ones,” Consunji added, noting that he will take legal action for all of Wilson’s supposed attacks.

Carrasco likewise issued a statement as she said: “More recently, the harassment and bullying has escalated into the intrusion of my private spaces and the involvement of, and references made to my unborn daughter.”

“These deliberate and malicious acts to perpetually provoke, threaten and subject me to public judgment and ridicule, all for personal and financial gain, is one I hold zero tolerance for,” she said.

Carrasco stressed that she will never allow herself or her daughter “to be leveraged as collateral damage to her vendetta against Mr. Consunji.”

She then urged Wilson, who is in Singapore based on her latest social media posts, to come back to the Philippines to face the supposed arrest orders against her.

Carrasco also parrotted Consunji as she vowed to pursue legal remedies to protect her family, especially her daughter.

‘Even in the face of death’

Wilson, for her part, took to her Instagram stories to raise a series of questions in view of the statements released by both Consunji and Carrasco.

“If a person claims that they are amicable on the face of it but behind the scenes is doing everything they can to hurt you, is that the real meaning of ‘amicable’?” she asked.

Wilson further questioned if it would be deemed “safe living with a person who owns multiple firearms where threats have been made for those firearms to be used.”

She then made mention of a “young boy” who was “not allowed to speak to or see [his] mother.”

“Isn’t it strange that complainants have published a statement but have deliberately failed to mention that they have received full cooperation from the defendant’s legal team and that the purported cases are at the submission stage for redetermination by the Department of Justice?” Wilson said.

Finally, Wilson asked–but this time, directed to herself: “If you had a platform, the resources and the support to fight for women and children and raise awareness in the Philippines and across the world, would you feel that it’s your duty to fight and be a voice for thousands of people who are going through the same thing (if not, worse), even in the face of death?”

After almost 11 years of marriage, Wilson and Consunji called it quits in 2021. They share a son, Connor, who they welcomed in 2012.

While Wilson did not reveal the reason for their separation, she assured the public then that there was “no animosity” between them.
