After over three years of hiatus in acting, Anne Curtis will be marking her comeback with a reunion project with “Buy Bust” director Erik Matti.

The renowned director showed himself posing for a photo with Curtis, who he complimented for being an actress “hungry” to “pour in hard work” to get things done, through Matti’s Instagram page on Monday, Feb. 6. Alongside Matti and Curtis in the photo is film producer Dondon Monteverde, who was also the producer of “Buy Bust.”

“We don’t shoot movies that are fast and easy, and with someone like Anne who already knows how much bucketloads of blood, sweat and tears it’ll take to do our kind of movies and yet is still so excited and passionate with the story we are going to tell, we can only give it our best…,” Matti wrote. “Love ya always!”

“Excited for 2023!” he concluded, apparently stating that their project would be released this year.

Curtis then responded to the director, expressing her excitement and enthusiasm for the film via the comments section. Curtis seemingly hinted that their upcoming project would be an action film as she used several stunts and weapons emoji.

Meanwhile, Matti also appears to have projects with actors Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson in lineup. It was not immediately known whether Curtis, Alonzo and Anderson would be starring in the same film or Matti would be working with the actors on separate projects.

Curtis’ last major acting project was the 2019 comedy-drama film “M&M: The Mall the Merrier,” in which she starred alongside comedian Vice Ganda. Curtis took a break from show business in December of the same year, then gave birth months after to her daughter with celebrity chef Erwan Heussaff, Dahlia. The couple got married in November 2017 in New Zealand.  /ra
