Madonna’s ‘new face’ at 2023 Grammys draws mixed reactions
All music fans’ eyes were on legendary pop icon Madonna at the 65th Grammy Awards as she shocked fans with her “new face” after introducing Kim Petras and Sam Smith at the annual music event.
Donning a black suit over her white shirt and dark necktie, her long tresses parted with two braids, the “Vogue” singer was almost unrecognizable with her shaved eyebrows, plumper lips, and visibly rounder cheeks and chin.
Shortly after the Grammys, the 64-year-old singer gained mixed reactions from fans on Instagram on Monday, Feb. 6, after sharing a video of herself walking towards the camera with a whip on her hand.
“And the winner is…,” Madonna captioned her post, which was accompanied by a snippet from the track “B.O.T.A. (Baddest of Them All)” which was sung by Eliza Rose and Interplanetary Criminal.

Netizens can’t help but point out the differences in Madonna’s recent appearance, as seen in the comments section of her post, with some comparing her face to various figures in pop culture such as Wednesday Addams. Petras, on the other hand, thanked the singer for “everything you have done for the LGBTQ community.”

Another pointed out, “She has destroyed her beautiful face. For such a strong woman and role model for us ladies. She leaves me sad.”
On the other hand, one @uwantitwork4it82 called out fans for their “ridiculous comments,” saying that she “doesn’t care what y’all think.”
This is not the first time that the American singer-songwriter, who has had the reputation of breaking the boundaries of fashion, has been accused of going under the knife. Last year, she was photographed with a narrower nose, “higher” cheekbones, and wrinkle-free face, bringing netizens to speculate whether she has had some work done on her face..
Dubbed as the “Queen of Pop”, Madonna Louise Ciccone is known as one of the leading figures in American pop music, releasing hit singles such as “Crazy For You”, “Material Girl”, “Vogue”, “Like A Virgin”, and “Express Yourself”, among many others. EDV
