Is it impossible to date your celebrity crush on Valentine’s Day? Yes. But it doesn’t hurt to dream, right?

The 14th of February can either be sappy, bitter, or a celebration of independence for everyone involved. So, why not sprinkle some kilig and adrenaline to the month of love by choosing which celebrity would you date on INQUIRER.net’s Valentine’s Day polls on its Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram polls?

The INQUIRER.net team has narrowed down to 16 the Filipino celebrities (eight each for males and females)  chosen by netizens on our social media platforms — and now, you have to select your favorite to get a chance to score a kilig feature for the month.

We’ll be laying down the Top 16 celebrities through a poll for the second week of February. The poll features the crushable stars which are then grouped by pairs based on their respective subcategories where fans have the chance to vote either on this story or on INQUIRER.net’s Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Here are the 16 celebs who will be squaring off until the poll’s death rounds:

New-gen leading men

David Licauco

Modern ginoo by day, charming Chinito by night — David Licauco has been a hot topic on social media thanks to his role as Fidel in the historical series “Maria Clara at Ibarra”.

Donny Pangilinan

One-half of the DonBelle loveteam, Donny Pangilinan’s eye-catching looks and acting skills have been a force to be reckoned with among his peers.

Breathtaking daddies

Ian Veneracion

Admirers are crazy about him. Moms love him. Guys want to be him. From his versatile acting skills to dashing looks, it’s no wonder why many can’t get enough of him.

Piolo Pascual

Gen X and older millennials may or may not have gotten over their Piolo Pascual phase, and we can’t blame them for doing so. He ages like fine wine and he acts like his life depends on it.

Dashing, award-winning actors

Jericho Rosales

It’s hard to not get swept away by Jericho Rosales every time he appears on screen. This veteran actor takes on his roles like his own and doesn’t skimp from delivering powerful performances.

Daniel Padilla

This guy has such a classic suave trademark that is reminiscent of his Padilla lineage, but it doesn’t stop him from putting out his soul whenever he goes onscreen to make viewers kilig, laugh, or even cry.

Effortless charmers

Joshua Garcia

Whether he’s making viewers cry as a dramatic actor or stealing hearts on Tiktok, there is something uniquely charming about Joshua Garcia that commands attention until the final second.

Stell Ajero

Stell of SB19 doesn’t just catch your attention when he performs onstage, makes fans laugh, or enjoys on Tiktok. He captures your attention completely until you’re left with blank thoughts — except of him.

Girl crush material

Nadine Lustre

Award-winning actress, singer, dancer, creative, and entrepreneur. From these qualities alone, it’s clear that Nadine Lustre is a woman of many awe-inspiring talents.

Janella Salvador

A charismatic actress with a knack for versatility, Janella Salvador has slithered her way into viewers’ hearts with her nuanced approach to every role she accepts.

Sexy sirens

Kylie Versoza

Since passing on her Miss International crown, Kylie Versoza showed what it means to be effortlessly sexy and to love your body without shedding off her signature elegance.

Ivana Alawi

Her acting prowess has been a revelation among viewers since her “A Family Affair” and “Partners in Crime” days, but it’s hard not to be charmed by her magnetic sex appeal.

Favorite leading ladies

Kathryn Bernardo

Teen queen to Box Office Queen of her generation. Kathryn Bernardo proved she’s more than just a leading lady in her own right by treating her projects as an opportunity to shine as an actress.

Liza Soberano

Liza Soberano might have gained breakthrough success as the half of the LizQuen tandem, but it didn’t stop her from forging ahead in the world of Hollywood in the United States.

All-around hosting goddesses

Anne Curtis

Fondly known as “Dyosa” by fans, Anne Curtis re-affirmed her star power after being chosen as one of the original hosts of “It’s Showtime”. Hosting duties aside, she’s known for being an actress, model, and a devoted mom to baby Dahlia.

Maine Mendoza

She may have gained widespread recognition as Yaya Dub in “Eat Bulaga”, but Maine Mendoza has since marked her own path in showbiz by being the unfiltered version of herself.
