Angelica Panganiban and her non-showbiz partner Gregg Homan welcomed their daughter, Amila Sabine, to the Christian world in a magical after-baptismal ceremony party with their closest friends and loved ones.
While the couple have yet to post the photos of baby Amila’s baptism on their respective social media platforms, Panganiban’s celebrity friends including John Prats, Bela Padilla, Kim Chiu, Judy Ann Santos, Andoy Ranay, and Glaiza de Castro took to their personal Instagram accounts on Saturday, Feb. 4, to share glimpses of the happy occasion — where some have been reposted on the celebrity mom’s Instagram Stories.
Prats shared photos of baby Amila’s baptism which he attended with his wife, actress Isabel Oli, on his personal Instagram account. Among the photos showed the celebrity couple posing with Panganiban carrying her daughter, as well as the Homan family smiling for the cameras.
“Yahoo!!! May inaanak na ako sayo Pets @iamangelicap [emoji] Pasensya na at hindi ka muna importante ngayon. Si Bean talaga ang nag pa excite sakin,” he quipped. “Congratulations @gregg_homan and @iamangelicap [emoji] Forever nandito ang Pamilya ko para sa inyo! Love you guys,” he said.
(Yahoo! You finally gave me a goddaughter, friend. I’m sorry but you are not important this time. It is Bean who makes me excited. Congratulations Gregg and Angelica, my family and I are here for you forever. Love you guys.)
Santos, meanwhile, shared a selfie with Panganiban during the ceremony, as she welcomed the latter to the world of motherhood. “Welcome to mommy duties my love… dito lang ako lagi alam mo yan (I’m always here for you, you know that),” she said.
The latter then reposted Santos’ greeting on her personal Instagram account, where she implied that the veteran actress is one of Amila’s godmothers.
On Instagram, de Castro likened Amila’s baptismal ceremony to a “grand reunion homecoming” where her former classmates are now married with kids.
“Ang saya ma witness ng bagong chapter nato ng buhay mo @iamangelicap, aantayin ko yung bagong rules na magagawa mo as a mom. Congrats sa inyo ni @gregg_homan jan. Welcome sa masaya at magulong mundo Amila, pero andito kaming mga ninong at ninang mo para alalayan ka. Kahit pa minsan hindi umaabot sa oras, pero darating para samahan ka. Mahal ka namin,” she said.
(It makes me happy to witness this new chapter in your life, Angelica Panganiban. I’ll be waiting for the new rules that you’ll make as a mom. Congratulations to you and Gregg Homan. Welcome to this happy and messy world, Amila. Even so, your godparents are here to take care of you. Even if we may sometimes not be on time, we will always have your back. We love you.)
Padilla also shared a series of Instagram Stories documenting Amila’s baptismal ceremony, which she attended with Chiu, veteran actress Cherry Pie Picache, and director Andoy Ranay.
The photos showed Padilla who was spotted enjoying a ball pit with Chiu, Picache, and Ranay, the table placements during the party, Amila Sabine herself, Panganiban posing with their gang, and a group photo of what appeared to be the baby’s godparents.
Chiu, on the other hand, also shared glimpses of herself and Padilla enjoying their time at Amila’s baptismal ceremony on her personal Instagram account.
Ranay recalled some of his favorite moments during Amila’s “Beanyag” through an Instagram Reel.
Panganiban gave birth to Amila Sabine in September of last year, and announced her engagement to Homan weeks later. According to the actress, her non-showbiz partner popped the question when she was four months pregnant. EDV
