After netizens called him out for his “unfair treatment” of his “It’s Showtime” co-host Karylle, Vice Ganda apologized to the actress-singer and clarified to the public that all is well between the show hosts.
The comedian earlier received criticisms from netizens after he apparently talked to Karylle in a sarcastic tone during an episode of the noontime variety show.
After acknowledging that he was out of the line, Vice Ganda said that he had reached out to Karylle regarding the incident, as per his Twitter page on Friday, Feb. 3.
“Story time! Magkakasama kami ni [Karylle at Amy Perez] and Anne sa dressing room. ‘Di daw siya naoffend when I asked her, but I still apologized,” he said. “So to simplify WE ARE OK.”
(Story time! Karylle, Amy Perez, Anne Curtis and I were together in the dressing room. [Karylle] said she was not offended when I asked her, but I still apologized. So to simplify, we are OK.)

Vice Ganda and Karylle, along with their fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts, then just seemingly laughed off the matter during the show’s Friday episode.
“Nag-uusap kami nina Karylle at Anne kanina, [sabi namin], ‘Galingan natin dahil maraming nanonood sa atin ngayon,” he stated. “Trending tayo sa Twitter.” (Karylle, Anne and I were talking a while ago and we said, “Let’s give our best today because a lot of people are watching us.’ We are trending on Twitter.)
Vice Ganda then appeared to have taken a swipe at those getting themselves “involved” in the issue by “liking” tweets.
“‘Yun ang bet nila, ‘yung magkaaway tayo kunwari tapos maraming magla-like-like para involved sila,” he continued. “Trending din siya, nakuha niya ‘yung gusto niya. Ikaw talaga, kuya.” (That’s what they like—to see us fight, then they would [like tweets] to be involved. He is also trending. He got what he wanted. Oh, older brother.)

Speculations that Vice Ganda was referring to former “It’s Showtime” host Kim Atienza then arose after eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Atienza liked a tweet about the comedian being a “main star diva.” Aside from the said tweet, it can also be noted that Atienza liked an art card as well as a clip of Vice Ganda and his recent remark.
Atienza has yet to publicly comment on the matter as of this writing. /ra
