35th PMPC Star Awards for Television unveils list of winners

Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan, as well as their hit romantic-comedy series “He’s Into Her”, are just among the biggest winners at the 35th Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for Television.

The tandem of Mariano and Pangilinan (Donbelle) was awarded the German Moreno Power Tandem of the Year by the PMPC, while  “He’s Into Her” was proclaimed Best Drama in a Miniseries.

Based on a web novel of the same name, “He’s Into Her” tells the story of Benison International School newbie Maxpein (Mariano) who stands up to Deib (Pangilinan), the varsity captain of the school’s basketball team. They soon engage in a cat-and-dog relationship until they eventually fall in love.

FEATURED STORIES

The first season was released from May to August 2021, while the second season premiered on April 2022 and ended in August 2022.

Aside from “He’s Into Her,” the PMPC also recognized other big names on local television during its awards ceremony last Saturday night, Jan. 28 at the Winford Manila Hotel, where stars from different networks were lauded in their respective fields.

Among them are Jodi Sta. Maria for Best Drama Actress (Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin/ TV5, A2Z) and JM de Guzman as Best Drama Actor (Init Sa Magdamag/ A2Z, TV5).
