Sharon Cuneta’s daughter Miel set to graduate from high school
Sharon Cuneta could not help but be emotional as she announced that her daughter Miel Pangilinan is set to graduate from high school.
The Megastar showed Pangilinan’s graduation photo through an Instagram post on Saturday, Jan. 28, lamenting how time flew by fast and how the latter missed out a lot of high school experiences because of the pandemic.
“Now you’re graduating and are going off to college [as well] after a year-off to enjoy life first?!” she said. “(My baby), if there was really a time-traveling machine I’d invest my life savings in it so I could be with your baby-self and stay there forever!”
“But I am so very proud of you — and this high school completion didn’t come easy for you and many others — having to do lots of online stuff and dealing with COVID-19 lockdowns. You guys just missed out on so much more of what life in high school should’ve been like, so I am grateful and just really so proud that you’ve reached this point.”
Cuneta then disclosed Pangilinan’s plan to pursue her studies abroad, assuring her daughter that although the actress prefers her children to stay in the Philippines, she will still support them with what they want.

Pangilinan received congratulatory messages from netizens as well as her mom’s fellow actress and friend Jackie Lou Blanco.
Miel, the second child of Cuneta with her husband Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, turned 18 in September last year and had a 1970s-themed 18th birthday party to celebrate the occasion. Months before her birthday, Miel came out as queer and marked her first Pride Month as part of the LGBTQ+ community. Her coming out was fully supported by her family. /ra
