Singer Ronnie Liang has warned his followers to be wary of an Instagram account that is using his identity to ask for money and invite people for meet-ups.
Liang took to his personal Instagram account on Wednesday, Jan. 25, to clarify that he is not the user behind a certain @ronnieliang22. He also shared that the account was sending private messages, inviting people to meet in certain areas, and ask for money.
“Please be informed that it is an IMPOSTOR and FAKE account. I only have one official Instagram account,” he said.
The singer also advised his followers to “ignore, block, or report” the account should they receive messages from it.
Liang’s supporters agreed to his request, with some revealing that they have received messages from the poser.
“He messaged me [yesterday]. I asked that person to do a video [greeting] for me saying my name, but he [can’t]. So, I know [it is] a fake account and person,” one @eyvhon143 said.
Another @crisveco24 said he also received messages from the aforementioned account. “Nag [message] din yan sa akin ngayon screen shot [ko nga] mga [messages] niya (They messaged me today, I should take a screenshot),” they said.

Liang, who’s also an army reservist and a licensed private pilot, obtained his Master’s degree in Management from the Philippine Christian University last August 2022.
The singer is best known for his hit song “Ngiti”, and a finalist of the 2006 talent contest “Pinoy Dream Academy”. EDV
