Former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III has returned to his musical roots as he posts about opening up a recording studio to be called VST.

Sotto shared a photo of himself inside a recording studio on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday, Jan. 17, where he was spotted posing with a digital audio workstation and sound baffles.

“VST recording studio opening soon [musical note emojis],” he said in the caption.

The ex-politician also showed more glimpses of his recording studio in a series of photos uploaded on the same day.

“Asia’s Best [is] coming soon,” he wrote.

Sotto previously ran for vice president in the 2022 elections, but lost to former Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, daughter of then president Rodrigo Duterte. According to the official tally, he received the third highest number of votes after former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, the wife of his niece Sharon Cuneta.

Prior to pursuing a career in politics, Sotto is best known for being a member of the OPM band VST & Company with his brother Vic and Spanky Rigor, which produced several music hits, such as “Ipagpatawad Mo,” “Awitin Mo At Isasayaw Ko,” and “Ikaw Ang Aking Mahal.”

He also was an irregular cohost of the long-running noontime show “Eat Bulaga” which is also being produced by his brother, Vic.  EDV
