MANILA, Philippines — Getting married and having his own family are just among Senator Sherwin Gatchalian’s resolutions this year.
Gatchalian talked about his plans after spending the holidays in Europe with his girlfriend, beauty queen-turned-actress Bianca Manalo, and family as shown in the couples’ photos recently posted on social media.
The senator was tightlipped about his wedding plans when asked in a radio interview if he had already proposed to Manalo during their recent trip.

“Secret,” Gatchalian said in an interview with DWIZ over the weekend.
The senator, however, wished he would no longer stay single in 2023.
“Sana hindi na (single), matanda na tayo. Nararamdaman ko na sa aking katawan ang pagtanda e, 49 na ako this year,” said Gatchalian.
“Wala naman na akong hinihintay, timing na lang,” he further said.
Asked when he think would be the right timing to settle down, he said, “Malapit na yun, malapit na.”
Gatchalian then went on to talk about his plans of getting married and having his own family this year.
“Nasa New Year’s resolution ko nga yun. Number one e, magpakasal na. Number 2, magkaroon ng pamilya. Number 3, bawasan yung aking timbang dahil ang laki ng tinaba ko this Christmas,” he said.
In 2020, the couple also posted their sweet photos in Paris, sparking speculations that they already got engaged there.
“Hindi pa kami engaged. We’re enjoying our dating process. Hindi pre-nup ‘yun. Souvenir photo sa Europe,” the senator said then.
