WATCH: Liza Soberano turned into ‘Miss Universe’ beauty queen by Fil-Am vlogger Patrick Starrr
Liza Soberano left fans swooning over her beauty anew after she was turned into a Miss Universe beauty queen by Filipino-American beauty vlogger Patrick Starrr.
Patrick Starrr did a “Miss Universe Philippines makeup” tutorial with Soberano, which he documented through a vlog released on his YouTube channel on Saturday, Jan. 14. Soberano donned a sparkly black off-shoulder dress paired with a replica of the pageant’s Mikimoto crown.
“Liza Soberano is a Filipino actress, model and singer, and I am over the moon, or the universe rather, that she’s here as MY Miss Universe Philippines to transform in full glamour!” he said.
During the vlog, Soberano talked about how she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her goal of becoming a world-class actress. Aside from undergoing acting lessons, she also revealed that she started her singing career and has been taking vocal lessons in the US.
Soberano also gushed over her collaboration video with the beauty vlogger through her Instagram Stories.

Amid calls from fans for Soberano to compete for the Miss Universe crown, the actress made it clear in 2021 that while she was “flattered and grateful” for the support from fans, she believes that beauty pageant is “not for [her].”
Soberano, who recently turned 25, returned to the Philippines and held a mall show with her fellow Careless Music artist, actor-musician James Reid.
Meanwhile, Celeste Cortesi will be representing the Philippines in the 71st Miss Universe pageant tomorrow, Jan. 15, in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the US. /ra
