Harnaaz Sandhu was a sight to behold in her final photoshoot as the reigning Miss Universe, as she is set to crown her successor in New Orleans in the US on Jan. 14 (morning of Jan. 15 in the Philippines).
The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) shared glimpses of Sandhu’s final photoshoot with fashion photographer Fadil Berisha on its official YouTube channel on Friday, Jan. 13.
The Indian beauty queen was seen donning a variety of glamorous outfits, as she posted in several sets inspired by the culture of New Orleans, Louisiana, and her home country India.
Berisha talked about Sandhu’s improvement in photo shoots in the video, where he described her growth as “amazing.”
“It was really amazing to see the difference when you first shoot in their first win, and how much they’ve advanced towards the last shoot. I didn’t have to direct too much, I just say one thing and she goes right for it. I have no doubt that she will have a great future ahead,” he said.
Sandhu also took a trip down memory lane as she reflected on her reign as Miss Universe 2021. “I truly want to be remembered as a woman who aspired to inspire people around the world who is determined to fulfill her purpose and as a kind human being,” she said.
The Indian stunner and Berisha also uploaded a series of behind-the-scenes photos on their respective Instagram pages.
Sandhu is the third Indian beauty queen to be crowned as Miss Universe, in December 2021, following Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000. /ra
