Liza Diño, Ice Seguerra celebrate 8th wedding anniversary: ‘Finding perfection in the imperfect’
Liza Diño took a trip down memory lane as she and singer-songwriter Ice Seguerra marked their eighth wedding anniversary.
Diño reflected on her relationship with Seguerra as they celebrated their eighth year as a married couple, as seen on her official Facebook page on Sunday, Jan. 8.
“TEN YEARS AGO, I MET MY FOREVER. So here we are celebrating that fateful day ten years ago when we met (again) and decided to take the plunge and be ‘guinea pigs’ to that thing called FOREVER,” Diño began. “We were idealists then… promising to each other that we would not be like other couples na after ilang years together, hindi na sweet sa isa’t isa (that after a lot of years together, we won’t be sweet to one another). We said ours would be different.”
The actress shared that through the years of her relationship with Seguerra, she learned that love is a “conscious decision” between two people to make a relationship work.
“Ten years after that fateful day, you and I both realized that LOVE is a conscious decision that we make every single day in the last ten years. Not just during the good times, when we say sweet nothings to each other but most especially during the hard times when hindi tayo sweet sa isa’t isa (when we’re not sweet with each other), or when it feels that it’s becoming too much work,” Diño said.

“Our love is far from perfect. But we have managed to find perfection in the imperfect because I truly [believe] that LOVE IS AN UNCONDITIONAL COMMITMENT TO AN IMPERFECT PERSON. To choose to love somebody isn’t just a strong, spontaneous feeling… It’s a deliberate choice. It is a decision and a promise, and I choose you,” she added.
The actress also revealed that the couple’s wedding anniversary also falls on the day that they’ve met.
“Over and over, I choose you. And only you. Happy 10th MetSARY and Happy 8th wedding anniversary. I love you, my forever,” Diño said.
Seguerra and Diño tied the knot in December 2014 in San Francisco, California in the U.S. where same-sex marriage is considered to be legal. EDV
