The confirmation comes a day after a teaser of Taeyang’s return to the music industry was released on his agency’s official social media accounts. Reports of Taeyang and Jimin’s upcoming collaboration have been circulating as early as December 2022. YG Entertainment and Big Hit Music, however, didn’t confirm the rumors at that time.
Earlier this month, the BigBang member shared a black-and-white photo of himself with a mysterious artist at a recording studio on his official Instagram account. The post has already been deleted as of this writing, however, many netizens speculated that Taeyang was working with Jimin at that time.
Prior to the collaboration, Jimin is known for being a longtime fan of Taeyang even before his debut with BTS. He even performed a cover of the BigBang member’s hit song “Eyes, Nose, Lips” at a music show in 2014. EDV
