Michael V. defends ‘Voltes V: Legacy’ from bashers, gushes about trailer
Michael V. couldn’t contain his excitement for the premiere of the upcoming GMA series “Voltes V: Legacy,” as the mega trailer of the local adaptation of the popular anime was released on New Year’s Day.
The actor-comedian let out his inner Voltes V fanboy as he described the trailer as “my childhood coming to reality” on his personal Facebook page on Sunday, Jan. 1.
“Just finished watching the #VoltesVLegacy Mega Trailer… kinilabutan ako sa ganda! This is my childhood coming to reality! I know, nag-express na ‘ko ng excitement ko sa previous post ko pero this trailer got me more excited than ever,” he said.

Michael V. also addressed the bashers of the upcoming series, saying that GMA network was able to produce “Voltes V: Legacy” because it had the “right tools” and “right people.”

Wala kahit isa sa inyo ang p’wedeng magnakaw ng saya na naramdaman ko nu’ng napanood ko ‘to.”

The actor-comedian also praised the cast and production team of “Voltes V: Legacy” and thanked them for reminding him about his childhood.
“You made me travel back to my childhood and relive a feeling that has long been waiting to be rekindled. I’m looking forward to that feeling in every episode,” he added.
The upcoming “Voltes V: Legacy” is poised to be an adaptation of the hit Japanese anime “Chodenji Machine Voltes V.” The series, done in partnership with Toei Company, Ltd. and Telesuccess Productions Inc., is directed by Mark Reyes and written by Suzette Doctolero.
The GMA adaptation of the popular anime stars Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Raphael Landicho, Matt Lozano, Martin del Rosario, Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, Gabby Pangilinan, Albert Martinez, Max Collins, and Christian Vasquez. The show’s premiere date is yet to be announced by the network, as of this writing. EDV
