Ben&Ben bassist Agnes Reoma and keyboardist Pat Lasaten surprised fans with some good news for the New Year as they revealed that they are now engaged.

The couple made this announcement by showing a glimpse of the proposal, via Reoma’s Instagram page late yesterday, Dec. 31, about an hour before welcoming 2023. Reoma also showed herself and Lasaten with a “Just got en-gay-ged!” rainbow cake.

“Last July. A lot of surprises and blessings happened this 2022 but this is my favorite. Love you forever, Patfly. Patnes nyo engaged na (Your Patnes is now engaged),” Reoma said.

Among those who congratulated Lasaten and Reoma were vlogger Mimiyuuuh and fellow musician Nica del Rosario.

“Labyu kayong dalawa (I love you both),” Mimiyuuuh told the couple, along with teary-eyed emoji.

“Congrats guys,” Del Rosario greeted.

Lasaten and Reoma, who have been a couple for seven years, celebrated their anniversary last February. They also appeared together in the June 2022 music video for their band’s song “Paninindigan Kita,” wherein they shed light on the struggles faced by women in the LGBTQ+ community.  /ra
