The term “showbiz royalty” cannot be used haphazardly. In the industry, a handful of last names belong in the upper echelon of that title, and the Estrada and Muhlach surnames are high up there.

Following in the footsteps of their famous relatives and family members are Rob Gomez, who comes from the Estrada clan, and Sandro Muhlach, who comes from the Muhlach clan. A while back, I had a good hearty conversation in person with both lads at a gathering. They exuded a strong passion for becoming accomplished actors. While they come from famous showbiz lineage, I could strongly discern acting is what they also truly want to do. Sometimes in life, you will meet or get to know individuals with a strong sense of purpose and the path they will take in achieving that endeavor. Rob Gomez and Sandro Muhlach wish to act, and actors are what they are.

“Regal Baby” Rob Gomez has everything going for him from the physical standpoint: good-looking, tall, great physique. Add to that his outstanding qualities of being suave, charming, sophisticated, and well-spoken. Over and above all, he possesses that elusive but innate “IT Factor’.

As I had once said to him in a digital conference a couple of months back, “You are either born with that magical X-factor, or you are not. Rob, you are the lucky few who have it.” Rob Gomez certainly has it. This is immediately discernible and felt by viewers at home.

GMA Network Kapuso artist Sandro Muhlach has a distinct aura of a Muhlach that cannot be mistaken. He possesses admirable physical qualities becoming an actor. To me, he is more suited to the serious side of acting, which is drama. But he could surprise us–all too soon–when he can dip his feet in comedy and romantic comedy., as well. Young actors must be given every opportunity to help them find their niche and fortes in acting.

After our long carefree no-holds-barred conversation, and Rob Gomez, Sandro Muhlach, and I went our separate ways, it dawned on me that the entertainment industry will never have to fear, worry or doubt if the most famous showbiz clans will continue to be around in the current generation, meaning right here and now, because Rob Gomez and Sandro Muhlach are proudly continuing the lineage, legacy, and name of their respective clans.
