Andrew Schimmer gave the public some advice on expressing appreciation to loved ones as he marks his first Christmas since the death of his partner Jho Rovero.

The actor, who recently admitted he may never like Christmas again, greeted the public on the holiday while showing himself and his children at Rovero’s wake, via his Facebook page.

“Merry Christmas… though it’s not a very merry season for us. That’s not a good reason to let this season pass without greeting all of you beautiful souls a happy and full of love Christmas season. Few days ago, my heart left my body when the love of my life left her body,” Schimmer said.

“[Advice]: don’t waste a single day without you telling your love ones how much you love them, for we do not know what can happen to us when our time comes. Don’t waste your time on arguments or silly small talks, if [you’re] in love with someone, make sure that person knows how much you love them, make them feel every single bit of your heart,” he added.

For Schimmer, feeling regret is the “most painful thing that you can experience in this life,” so one should not let their ego stop them for expressing their love.

“Love without hesitation and without reason. Be silly, be ỉn loved, be inspired of this love. Do everything and anything that will make you and your love ones happy. I would give up anything in this world, anything… makita, mayakap at makausap ko lang po and aking asawa one last time (just to see, hug and talk to my wife one last time),” he told fans.

Schimmer then reminded the public to give hugs to their loved ones while they are still around, since they do not need any other reason to do it other than their love.

“Iparamdam mo ‘tol sa kanya na [siya] ang buhay at mundo mo, na [siya] ang reyna ng kaharian ng puso mo, na para sayo [siya] ang pinakamagaling, pinakamaganda at pinakaimportante sa lahat. Gawin mo na ang lahat para sa kanya hangga’t kaya at pwede n’ya itong maramdaman,” he stated.

(Make her feel that she is your life and your world, that she is the queen of your heart, that she is the best, most beautiful and most important person to you. Do everything for her while she can feel it.)

“Give everything and anything for love, and you will never regret it,” Schimmer continued.

Rovero was first taken to the St. Luke’s Hospital at the Bonifacio Global City for treatment in November last year. She then fell into a coma for more than a year, then succumbed to complications of severe asthma, and cardiac arrest. She also suffered from hypoxemia.  /ra
