Janine Gutierrez is determined to avenge the death of her mother, portrayed by Golden Globe-nominee Dolly de Leon, in the trailer of the upcoming series, “Dirty Linen.”

The official trailer, released on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel on Thursday, Dec. 15, gave a glimpse into Alexa Salvacion’s (Janine Gutierrez) quest for justice following the tragic death of her mother, Olivia Salvacion (Dolly de Leon), who was killed by the Fiero clan.

A young Alexa is shocked after receiving a call from Olivia, saying she misses her family. Minutes later, the young girl’s excitement turned into shock when a gunshot was heard, indicating her mother’s death.

The remains of Olivia, whose tattered maid’s outfit was covered in blood, was dragged by the characters of Janice de Belen and John Arcilla to fulfill orders. The scene then shifts to a tearful Angel Aquino who stuffed the victim’s clothes in a washing machine to cover up her death.

Alexa and her family soon discover in the news that Olivia was accused of stealing the jewelry of Donya Cielo Fiero, even if previous scenes show otherwise. She gets overwhelmed with anger, as she vows revenge against those who were responsible for her mother’s tragic fate.

“Gusto ko lang naman malaman kung anong nangyari kay Mommy at malinis ang mga pangalan nila (I just wanted to know what happened to Mommy and clear their names),” Alexa says.

“Dirty Linen” is produced by Dreamscape Entertainment and directed by Onat Diaz and Andoy Ranay. The upcoming series is scheduled for a January 2023 release on the Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, A2Z, TV5, and iWantTFC, although the exact date is yet to be revealed.

Gutierrez is joined by Zanjoe Marudo, Francine Diaz, Seth Fedelin, Joel Torre, Christian Bables, Jennica Garcia, Angel Aquino, John Arcilla, Janice de Belen, Susan Africa, and Andrea Del Rosario, among others. On the other hand, de Leon is part of the teleserye’s cast in a special participation, alongside veteran actors Ruby Ruiz, Liza Diño, and Karl Medina. EDV
