WATCH: K-pop groups Red Velvet, aespa collaborate in ‘Beautiful Christmas’ music video

SM Entertainment labelmates Red Velvet and aespa spread the joys of the holiday season in the music video of their collaborative single, “Beautiful Christmas.”
The music video, uploaded on SMTOWN’s YouTube channel on Wednesday, Dec. 14, shows the members of Red Velvet and aespa getting into the holiday spirit in various Christmas-inspired sets. The video garnered over 500,000 views, as of this writing.
“Beautiful Christmas” is included in the tracklist of SM Entertainment’s “2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE” holiday album project, which is set to be released on Dec. 26. The record will compose of songs from the entertainment label’s acts including K-pop idols Kangta, Boa, TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, EXO, Red Velvet, NCT, and aespa, according to a report from Soompi.

Although “Beautiful Christmas” is the first joint single between the SM Entertainment girl groups, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa’s Karina and Winter have worked together as members of the female unit Got the Beat in January 2022.
Red Velvet debuted in August 2014 with the single “Happiness” and is composed of five members, namely, Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, and vocalist Yeri, the youngest member who joined the girl group in March 2015.
Meanwhile, aespa made their debut with the track “Black Mamba” in November 2020. The girl group comprises Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning. EDV
