Melissa Ricks and her non-showbiz husband Michael Macatangay threw a dreamy starry-night themed baby shower as they prepare for the arrival of their baby girl.
The “Star Circle Quest” alum gave the public a glimpse of the baby shower via her Instagram page yesterday, Nov. 28. The gathering featured a big yellow-and-white balloon arch, various star-shaped balloons and cutouts, a balloon dome and inflatable play area for kids.
The event happened to be a double celebration for Ricks’ family, since they marked Macatangay’s 40th birthday as well.
A peek at the baby shower and birthday can also be seen on event organizer Partay Partay Specialist’s Instagram page yesterday.
“A celebration of two special life events in one. Congratulations Mrs. [Melissa Ricks] – Macatangay on your upcoming baby girl and a happiest birthday, Sir Michael Macatangay!” it greeted the couple.
Among Ricks and Macatangay’s guests was “Pinoy Big Brother” alum Say Alonzo, who attended with her family, as seen on Alonzo’s Instagram page yesterday.
“Thank you for inviting us to your 40th birthday [celebration, Michael] and baby shower, [Melissa]. Super fun! At talagang terno tayo Mars (And we got to wear matching clothes, friend)!” she said.
Ricks and Macatangay tied the knot in May 2021 in the United States. The actress announced in August that she and Macatangay are having their first child together, then revealed in October that they are expecting a baby girl.
Meanwhile, Ricks has another child, Kiera, whom she had with a former partner. /ra
