Claudine Barretto reached out to fans and appealed for prayers before she underwent a thigh surgery scheduled on Monday, Nov. 28.
The actress gave an update by showing herself in a wheelchair before the operation through a video on her Instagram page.
“It’s almost 5 a.m. and I’m here at St. Luke’s Global to have an operation on my thigh. The operation would be at 7 a.m. Wish me luck and pray for me,” she said, without giving further details on her condition.
Barretto was then seen lying in a hospital bed while being brought to the operating room. She also thanked those who extended their prayers and well-wishes.
Barretto earlier disclosed that she was admitted to a hospital. While she opted not to specify the reason for her hospitalization, the actress clarified that she did not contract COVID-19.
Fellow celebrities Lorna Tolentino, Baron Geisler and Princess Punzalan were among those who wished for Barretto’s fast recovery. EDV
