Erik Santos expressed his grief as he paid tribute to his mother, Angelita Santos, who passed away yesterday, Nov. 25.
The “I’ll Never Go” singer honored his mother while expressing his love for her and showing a photo of her via his Instagram page yesterday.
“She is finally home with Jesus. I love you so much, Nanay,” he said. He did not disclose the cause of his mother’s death.
Fellow artists who extended their condolences to Erik and his family included Yeng Constantino, Ogie Alcasid and KC Concepcion.
“[Yakap] Erik. Nakikiramay kami,” Constantino said. (Hugs, Erik. Our condolences.)
“My brother…. Hugs and prayers. Nakikiramay kami,” Alcasid told Erik.
“I am praying for your strength and courage. You made her so proud… our deepest sincerest condolences prow (Erik), from my family to yours… we love you so much,” Concepcion stated.

During Erik’s birthday celebration on “ASAP Natin ‘To” last month, he told fans that his wish for his special day was “complete healing” for his mother.
“I would like to ask for prayers for my mom for her complete healing. ‘Yung kantang ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ ‘yun po ‘yung kanta ko sa kanya (The song ‘Wind Beneath My Wings’ is my song for her),” he said.
“It’s been so challenging for the family for the past months and gusto kong maging masaya siya. So kapag napanood niya ‘to, alam kong magiging masaya siya dahil ‘yung kantang ‘to and on my very special day I would like to honor her and to say that I love you so much, Mommy,” Erik added.
He did not give details about his mother’s health at the time.
Erik started his career after winning the singing competition “Star in a Million” back in 2003. He has since released numerous albums and often appeared as a performer at “ASAP Natin ‘To.” /ra
