Pregnant Iza Calzado most grateful for ‘gift of life’ on Thanksgiving

Mom-to-be Iza Calzado has many things to celebrate and be grateful for, but she considers the “gift of life” growing inside her the most special one, as she marked Thanksgiving this year.
The Kapamilya actress penned a message for Thanksgiving while showing a photo of herself with her husband, businessman Ben Wintle, via her Instagram page yesterday, Nov. 24.
“So much in life to be grateful for but I would say that I am most thankful for the gift of life growing inside me. I have never felt this kind of love and joy before. Paano pa ‘pag andito ka na (What more if you got here)?” she said to her baby.
Calzado admitted that the love and support from loved ones and strangers has been “humbling” for her, then expressed appreciation to “angels” who never left her side.
“Lastly, I am deeply grateful for you, Poopy (Wintle), and our growth the past couple of years. God really knew I needed a partner like you in life. I love you,” she told her husband.
“Salamat, Panginoon, sa lahat ng biyaya (Thank you, Lord, for all the blessings). I am grateful to see the grace in every fiber of life’s experience. What a beautiful, colorful weave it is,” Calzado added. “May we all enjoy and celebrate the love that exists inside and all around us. A grateful heart is a happy heart!”

Calzado announced during her 40th birthday celebration last August that she and Wintle are expecting their first child. Despite the pregnancy being unplanned, Calzado stressed that it is “very highly appreciated.” /ra
