Karen Davila disclosed that she contracted COVID-19 for the second time, but she has since recovered in time for her 52nd birthday.
The TV broadcaster reflected on her bout with the virus, admitting she “welcomed” it as it gave her “a break from daily life,” via her Instagram page on Monday, Nov. 21.
“Waking up to 52. It’s been a quiet week of self-reflection leading up to my birthday recovering from COVID a [second] time,” she said. “To some degree, I welcomed it — it gave me time alone, a week of pause, a break from daily life [and] the peace of having not to rush.”
Davila says she has nothing but gratitude as she declares she is blessed and “immensely grateful for everything.”
“I woke up today more grateful than ever for my life. The very air I breathe, my family, my children, the purpose [and] opportunities God has opened before me,” she stated. “Over [and] over again I live in God’s graciousness [and] endless mercies.”
“The good with the bad, the hard with the easy. All for God’s good purpose,” she added.
Earlier this year, Davila revealed that she and her family tested positive for the virus after their holiday trip for New Year. The TV broadcaster then thanked God for the “gift of life” after she recovered and returned to “TV Patrol” on Jan. 15. EDV
