Is Sharon Cuneta contemplating retirement?
The Megastar spoke about this on Instagram while sharing an excerpt from Joanna Gaines’ book “The Stories We Tell”. The author was looking back at her life, stating that while she is grateful for what she has, she feels “exhausted” and “running on empty.”
Cuneta said this rang true for her as well, as, at 56 years of age, she admitted having gone “undeniably exhausted,” and just wanted to just be with her family and take care of them.
“This part really resonated with me because, well, I am 56 now — and I am just undeniably EXHAUSTED,” she said. “Retirement is calling.”
While Cuneta did not state specifically the cause of her exhaustion, the actress-singer appeared to be pertaining to her long years in show business in general, even as she expressed her intent to still be present through certain shows. She then asked her fans to pray for her as she extended her gratitude and love to them.
“Once in a while I can pop up in a movie or two, a concert, or a TV show, even a season or a series if it’s not too tiring. But I AM tired, ” she wrote.
“All I wish I could do is be with my family and take care of them. And do all those other things I always wish I could do but just couldn’t find the time for,” she added.
Fellow actress Arlene Muhlach shared the same sentiment with Cuneta via the comments section. Meanwhile, news anchor Connie Sison offered her prayers to the Megastar.
“Exactly what I want at 54. Thing is, I can’t yet because kids are both still in school,” Muhlach said.
