Alex Gonzaga on Wednesday clarified that the supposed “snubbing” incident with Vicki Belo and Heart Evangelista did not really happen, and that it was all part of a joke.
Gonzaga made the clarification on her Facebook page after several media organizations reported what transpired in Belo’s vlog, posted on YouTube, wherein she and Gonzaga claimed that they saw Evangelista in an event at the Milan Fashion Week, but that the latter did not even say “hi” to them even when they supposedly were all seated in the same row.
“Ay.. Hindi po kami nagkita sa Milan, biruan lang po namin ‘yan ni [Dra. Belo] if you watch the whole vlog,” said Gonzaga. (We really did not see [Heart] in Milan, Dra. Belo and I were just joking if you watch the whole vlog.
Belo and Gonzaga, however, did not set the record straight even until the end of the vlog, even though they were kidding around in the video.
In her clarification, Gonzaga further pointed out that she and Evangelista were friends as far back as when they both starred in “Pangarap na Bituin” on ABS-CBN.
“Heart is nice since ‘Pangarap na Bituin’ circa 2007 pa po sakin, at magkaibigan kami,” she said. (Heart has been nice to me since “Pangarap na Bituin” in 2007 and we are friends)
“Hindi na dapat ginawang news mga ganito,” Gonzaga added. (This [vlog] should not have made the news.)
Belo has yet to make an official statement on the matter.
Meanwhile, Evangelista has been giving glimpses of her trip in Paris, France, and she has yet to comment on the brouhaha as of this writing. EDV
