MANILA, Philippines — Actor Ian Veneracion has been in show business for four decades now, having started as a child star. Still active in the entertainment industry, he sometimes “forgets” how old he is.

“My kids always remind me, ‘Dad, you’re not that young anymore,’ because I still do the things that I have been doing since I was in my 20s,” the 47-year-old actor said at the media conference for his latest digital miniseries “One Good Day” held at the ballroom of Seda Vertis North in Quezon City on Oct. 21.

Veneracion still goes on long rides on his motorcyle, and also engages in martial arts, both useful for his return to the action genre to mark his 40th anniversary in the entertainment industry.

He revealed that he did all of his stunts for the six-part miniseries which will premiere on the streaming platform Prime Video on Nov. 17. “Kaya pa, kaya pa (I can still do it),” he told media scribes at the conference.

Director Lester Pimentel Ong said he had Veneracion get ran over by a car, jump over fire, and roll over for the project. “For safety, I wanted a stuntman to do it. He (Veneracion) saw the stuntman do it. Then he said ‘I can do better,’” he said.
