Bianca Gonzalez responds to insult on her vlog: ‘I don’t measure my worth with number of views’

Bianca Gonzalez stood up for herself and urged fellow content creators to look back at their “goal,” after a netizen apparently belittled the number of views generated by her YouTube vlog.
The TV host, who also hosts the podcast “Paano Ba ‘To?”, responded to a netizen who mocked her vlogs for not getting views, as seen on her Twitter page yesterday, Oct. 26.
“I often get this comment meant to insult or bash me: ‘Ay, walang views ang vlog niya (Oh, her vlog does not have views).’ Let me get one thing clear: iba-iba ng rason ang tao (people have various reasons) to create content on YouTube,” she said.
Gonzalez pointed out that other content creators make YouTube vlogs as a full-time career, serving for some as their creative outlets or channels for self-expression. Some others make online content to reach out and help others, she added.

“From the start, ang [‘Paano Ba ‘To?’] ay para makatulong sa problema’t pinagdadaanan ng tao, to know they are not alone and to know that they will get through it, by sharing stories that inspire and empower,” she explained. (From the start, “Paano Ba ‘To?” [was created] to help people with their problems and the trials they face…)
Gonzalez then stressed that she does not mind no matter how many views are generated by her vlogs.
“May 1 o 5 10, o kahit 20 na gumaan ang bigat na nararamdaman, nabigyan ng idea on how to handle their problem, o na-inspire makagawa ng solusyon sa pinagdadaanan nila, THAT to me is success. That makes my work fulfilling and rewarding,” she told fans.

Gonzalez added that while it would be “great” for all YouTube content creators to have millions of views, it is not “the reality.”
“I don’t measure my worth as a person with the number of views, subscribers, likes or comments I get. My goal with [‘Paano Ba ‘To?’] is to empower people to get through tough times,” she said.
For me, with every video, 2,000 views man yan o 50,000, if there are people who are inspired to go on and keep pushing, that is a huge WIN for me.
The letters I get from people who say my guest's story inspired them to pursue this, or pushed them to try again, that is priceless.

Gonzalez then addressed those who feel happy whenever they insult other people’s YouTube vlogs, saying they may have “issues” they need to sort out for themselves. She also believes those who belittle others’ content “for fun” need to have more “productive” things to do.
And to the content creator with a few hundred or few thousand views, go back to the reason WHY you started your channel. What's your goal? What's the purpose of your videos?

Gonzalez encouraged fellow vloggers and content creators to remember the reason why they started their YouTube channels.
“What’s your goal? What’s the purpose of your videos?” she asked them. “As long as that is clear to you, then others’ comments that have nothing to do with that is just noise.” /ra
