Pia Wurtzbach has given fans an update on the progress of her own house, as she picks out materials and colors for its “modern tropical” interior.
The Miss Universe 2015 titleholder gave a glimpse of the items she picked for her house in a series of Instagram Stories yesterday, Oct. 25.
“My [interior designer] and I finalized other parts of the house but I’ll share more stories about those later on. Today’s agenda is about tiles, mattresses and some outdoor furniture,” she said.
Wurtzbach explained that she opted for a “modern tropical” vibe with Filipino elements, just like a typical Filipino home.
“I want to feel like I’m in a home in the [Philippines]. So no glossy tiles, all matte, textured, imperfect, random. Gano’n (Like that),” she told fans.
One of the rooms expected to be part of the beauty queen’s home is a “glam room,” which will have a green-themed bathroom. Wurtzbach said she picked this color since she wants to “move on” from “Pia blue,” referring to her often wearing blue since the Miss Universe 2015 coronation night.
“…[I] want to move on from the blues. Quota na sa Pia blue (I’ve reached the quota for Pia blue),” she quipped.
Wurtzbach’s home will also likely feature solar panels, as she said she will talk about that part of her house soon.
Wurtzbach first gave a peek into her new home last January. She noted at the time that being hands-on with her new home was one of her “personal projects” for this year.
Meanwhile, the beauty queen is set to participate in the New York City marathon in November. She is now on the “final stretch” of training for the said event. /ra
