Vice Ganda lamented not being able to attend the grand finals of “It’s Showtime” segment “Miss Q and A” yesterday, Oct. 22, citing that his absence was due to a “valid reason.”
The comedian-TV host addressed the matter and apologized to fans through his Twitter page, also yesterday. While he did not state anything specifically, Vice Ganda explained that he was not able to attend the show because he was “not allowed” to do so.
“Sorry po wala pa rin ako sa [‘It’s Showtime’]. Kagabi pa ko umiiyak dahil ‘di ako napayagan for a valid reason,” he said. (I am sorry for still being absent on “It’s Showtime.” I have been crying since last night because I was not allowed [to attend the show] for a valid reason.)
Vice Ganda also revealed that there were recommendations to reschedule the “Miss Q and A” finals for him, but he refused as the contest is “not about [him].”
“‘Di ako pumayag na i-adjust ang date ng finals kasi this event is not about me. (I refused to adjust the date of the finals because this event is not about me). It’s about these beautiful girls and their talents,” he added. “So for now, let’s focus on them. Sorry po!”
“Kung alam niyo lang kung gaano ‘to kasakit para sa akin. This segment is very important to me and very close to my heart,” he stated. “Aside from the fact na ‘di ko masusuot yung mga pinagawa kong gowns para aliwin [kayo].”
(If you only knew how painful this is for me. This segment is very important to me and very close to my heart, aside from the fact that I would not be able to wear the gowns I prepared to entertain all of you.)
