LOOK: Arjo Atayde, family attend MIPCOM Cannes for premiere of ‘Cattleya Killer’
Arjo Atayde was joined by his family as he graced the red carpet of MIPCOM Cannes, the world’s largest co-production and entertainment content market, for the premiere of his series “Cattleya Killer.”
The actor attended the MIPCOM opening party with his mother Sylvia Sanchez, sister Ria Atayde and father Art Atayde, as seen on ABS-CBN’s Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 18.
Sanchez and her husband came to the MIPCOM Cannes as representatives of ABS-CBN’s co-producing partner Nathan Studios Inc.
“Team #CattleyaKiller representing the Philippines in #MIPCOM Cannes! ABS-CBN and Nathan Studios’ Cattleya Killer is the first Filipino drama to screen at MIPCOM, the largest entertainment content market in the world,” the network stated.

MIPCOM Cannes is an annual gathering where media and TV professionals “compete for new series, to source international production partnerships and to set the development agenda,” as per its website. This year’s edition of the event started last Oct. 17 and is set to end tomorrow, Oct. 20.
The pilot of “Cattleya Killer” will be presented to industry decision makers today, Oct. 19, “in anticipation of securing a global distribution partner.”
“Cattleya Killer,” directed by Dan Villegas, is a six-part series and a remake of the 1996 psychological thriller film “Sa Aking Mga Kamay.” Other celebrities who star in the series include Jake Cuenca, Ricky Davao, Nonie Buencamino and Jane Oineza. /ra
