Lolit Solis revealed that she was expelled from Professional Artist Managers Inc. (PAMI) after she committed a breach in the group’s confidentiality agreement.

The talent manager-columnist showed the expulsion letter signed by the group’s president, June Torrejon-Rufino, via her Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 18.

The letter stated that Solis violated one of the group’s rules that “everything we discuss during meetings and those posted in our Viber chat group should be treated with confidentiality.” This is in relation to a message by PAMI member Shirley Kuan.

“… [Y]ou made public via your Instagram a message of Shirley Kuan, which was posted in our Viber chat by the undersigned. This is a clear breach of the confidentiality agreement of our group,” Rufino said. “In lieu of this, I regret to inform you that we have decided to expel you from the group effective today, [Oct.] 18, 2022.”

Rufino appears to be referring to Solis’ Instagram post last Oct. 14, in which she made public a member’s resignation from PAMI. In the message, the member called out PAMI’s silence on “bullying by another PAMI member.”

For her part, Solis accepted her expulsion and admitted that she did make a violation. She also said she was impressed with Rufino for making a stand.

“Maganda example na ipakita nila sa lahat na binibigyan nila ng parusa ang mga hindi sumunod sa rules ng PAMI,” she said. (It’s a good example for them to show everyone that they punish those who don’t follow PAMI rules.)

Solis said she was glad that other members who might not like her would no longer resign since she has been expelled, mentioning Kuan.

“At least, na-expel ako dahil sa ibang rason at hindi dahil sa bully ako. I admit to my mistake, I bow to June Rufino as president of PAMI, and I hope the organization at ang mga members magtagumpay lahat lalo na ang mga alaga nila na parang anak na kaya inilalaban ng patayan gaya ni Shirley Kuan kay Bea Alonzo,” she said.

(At least I was expelled for another reason and not because I was a bully. I admit to my mistake, I bow to June Rufino as president of PAMI, and I hope the organization and its members succeed, especially their clients who they treat like their own children so they fight to death for them, like Shirley Kuan does for Bea Alonzo.)

This comes after Solis’ name was apparently removed from the list of invited press for a media conference on one of Alonzo’s recent endorsements, leading Solis to say Alonzo’s team was “power tripping.” However, Kuan clarified that the actress was not involved in having the columnist removed from the event, and she was the one who decided on the matter.

Despite this, Solis made repeated criticisms against Alonzo’s personal life, career and appearance for months, prompting Kuan to call Solis a “bully” in an exclusive interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal earlier this month.

Meanwhile, GMA Network released a statement expressing support for Alonzo amid the issue. It also stated that it does not allow its artists and programs to be spoken about untruthfully.  /ra
