Angelica Panganiban found comfort amid postpartum blues in her friend and fellow actress Judy Ann Santos, who sees her as someone equipped for motherhood.

Panganiban expressed her appreciation to Santos for continuously sending care packages to her from her first trimester to giving birth to Amila Sabine, Panganiban’s first child with her non-showbiz partner Gregg Homan, via a post on her Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 28.

“Isang araw habang dinadama ko ang pag-iyak sa loob ng [three hours] (Postpartum na kaya ‘yun?), nag-suggest si Gregg na baka gusto ko makita si ate, para na rin sa mental health ko. Agad-agad ko in-avail ang offer niya,” she narrated, while showing Santos and her child Luna holding Amila.

(One day while I was deep into crying for three hours [Was that already the postpartum [blues]?], Gregg suggested I might want to see “ate” (Santos), for my mental health as well. I immediately said yes to his offer.)

“THANK YOU Agoncillo family sa lahat lahat. Napakabuti niyo sa akin, kay Gregg at ngayon kay Bean,” Panganiban added, addressing Santos and her family. (Thank you Agoncillo family for everything. You are so kind to me, to Gregg and now to Bean as well.)

Santos, for her part, assured that her house was always open to welcome Panganiban and her family, as per a separate post on Santos’ Instagram page.

“Ang sarap mong panoorin, pagmasdan at pakinggan dahil alam kong ito talaga ang matagal mong hinintay at ipinagdasal,” Santos told Panganiban. “Deserve na deserve mo dahil handang-handa ka na. Binuo ka at pinagtibay ng Panginoon dahil may tamang tao talaga na ibibigay sayo, ‘yung aalagaan ka at mamahalin ka ng buong-buo.”

(It is pleasing to watch you, look at you, and listen to you because I know that you have waited and prayed for this for so long. You really deserve it because you are very much ready. God made you whole and strong because He would give you the right person who will take care of you and love you wholeheartedly.)

Panganiban announced her pregnancy last March and welcomed Amila last Sept. 20. The actress earlier opened up about her motherhood journey and described herself as “duguan and sugatang mom” one week into breastfeeding.  /ra
