TV5 probes ‘lewd’ segment of ‘Paparazzi’
MANILA, Philippines—Television network TV5 has vowed to look into “Paparazzi Showbiz Exposed” supposed lewd segment Saturday that triggered Ruffa Gutierrez to quit as its co-host.
“TV5 management is seriously concerned about the turn of events today at Paparazzi and is now looking into the incident,” said Peachy Vibal-Guioguio, TV5 corporate public relations officer in a statement.
“We promise everyone that we shall take appropriate action,” she said.
A fuming Gutierrez in her Twitter account said she was quitting the weekend talk show after allegedly being treated with “disrespect” by the show’s writers.

Ruffa, who will turn 38 Sunday, was celebrating her birthday in advance at “Paparazzi” Saturday when the incident happened.
In a separate barrage of tweets, Gutierrez’ mother, Annabelle Rama, raged against the program. She said that writers of the program should be sacked as she berated them calling them “bobo” (idiots) for writing lewd content.
Rama complained about the “lewd” questions asked to her daughter during the show, which is telecast live nationwide every Saturday.
