KZ Tandingan and TJ Monterde expressed their longing for their seven-year-old Yorkshire Terrier dog, Beau, who recently passed away.
Tandingan looked back on the memories she has of her dog through her Instagram page last Saturday, Sept. 10.
“Beau, I’m trying to find the words to describe how I feel right now, but my love, it’s so hard. I just want to imagine that you’re under the couch, hiding with my socks,” the singer addressed her dog while sharing photos.
Monterde, for his part, reflected on how humans build attachments to dogs despite knowing the heartbreak their loss would cause, as per his Instagram page.
“Why do we fall in love with dogs? When from the very start, we all know it’s a heartbreak waiting to happen,” he stated. “Well, siguro, dahil grabe ‘yung love na nabibigay nila [sa atin], ‘yung loyalty, ‘yung experience — na di na natin naiisip ang sakit na darating dahil kayang-kaya itong tabunan ng pagmamahal na meron ngayon.”
(Well maybe it is because [dogs] give so much love, loyalty and experience to us humans, that we do not think of the pain to come because it can be overpowered by the love at present.)
“Salamat sa (Thank you for) [seven] years, beau beau bear. Run free,” he added. “I love you my boy.”
Fellow celebrities Jolina Magdangal, Jason Dy and Jona were among those who also expressed grief and sent their condolences to the couple. JB
