Kim Chiu and Xian Lim’s first movie in eight years, an adaptation of the South Korean film “Always,” is now set for release on Sept. 28.

Lim, who first teased the comeback movie last June, expressed excitement over working with his girlfriend again while showing a teaser for the film on his Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 8.

“I missed you [Kim Chiu]. After 8 years, we’re back on the big screen. I see you,” he said.

“Always” is a 2011 South Korean drama film starring So Ji-sub and Han Hyo-joo. It follows the romance of an ex-boxer who closed his heart to the world (So Ji-sub) and a spirited telemarketer who is slowly losing her vision (Han Hyo-joo). As their fates intertwine, their pasts are revealed in a blooming relationship.

Lim and Chiu last appeared as a pair in the 2014 romantic comedy movie “Past Tense,” though they appeared in the series “Love Thy Woman” in 2020.

The on- and off-screen couple first worked together as a tandem in 2011, through the romantic comedy series “My Binondo Girl.” The actress then confirmed their relationship in 2018, after years of public speculations.  /ra
