John Arcilla, Dingdong Dantes, Charo Santos vie for top acting honors in Gawad Urian

John Arcilla, Dingdong Dantes and Charo Santos will be going up against fellow artists for top acting honors in the 45th Gawad Urian.
The list of nominees for this year’s edition of Gawad Urian was released by Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino via its Facebook page yesterday, Sept. 8.
Arcilla and Dantes are both nominees for Pinakamahusay na Aktor (Best Actor), for their performances in the films “On the Job: The Missing 8” and “A Hard Day,” respectively. Their fellow nominees are Christian Bables (“Big Night!”), Paolo Contis (“A Faraway Land”), John Lloyd Cruz (“Historya ni Ha”), Francis Magundayao (“Tenement 66”) and Shogen (“Gensan Punch”).
Meanwhile, Santos (“Kun Maupay Man It Panahon”) is up against Donna Cariaga (“Rabid”), Elora Españo (“Love and Pain in Between Refrains”), Kim Molina (“Ikaw at Ako at ang Ending”) and Yen Santos (“A Faraway Land”) for Pinakamahusay na Aktress (Best Actress).
Erik Matti’s “On the Job: The Missing 8” garnered the most nominations, with 12 nods, followed by “Big Night!” and “Kun Maupay Man It Panahon” with nine nominations each.
