Avril Lavigne is ecstatic as she now has her name embedded in one of the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The pop-punk artist treated fans to moments from when her Hollywood star was unveiled to the public, through her Instagram page today, Sept. 1. Fellow celebrities who were present during the event include her fiancé Mod Sun, American rapper Machine Gun Kelly and singer John Feldmann.
“Look Mom. I got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” she said.
Lavigne received the honors donning a hoodie with the phrase “Skateboarding is not a crime,” the same hoodie she wore when she visited Hollywood for the first time 21 years ago.
“Thank you guys so much. Thank you to my amazing gift of fan base, to my family [for being] super supportive still to this day and to my amazing collaborators,” the “Sk8er Boi” singer stated via her Instagram Stories. “I’m so grateful and it’s so f*cking cool.”
Lavigne, also known for her songs “Complicated,” “My Happy Ending” and “Girlfriend,” among others, released her seventh studio album “Love Sux” last February. Meanwhile, she and Mod Sun announced their engagement in April. JB
