Meanwhile, the GMA variety show “All-Out Sundays” congratulated Bolden via Twitter, also last Sunday. It wished him well as he is set to leave the program in August to start training and rehearsals.

It showed Bolden narrating his experience in auditioning for the stage musical. Bolden noted that when he met producers of the play, he was told that he fit an “important role” in the production since the start of his audition.

He compared the process of his “Miss Saigon” audition to the one he went through when he entered GMA’s reality singing competition “The Clash.”

“‘Yung pag-submit ko pa ng video, feeling ko parang nag-audition ako ulit sa ‘The Clash’ kasi hindi ako ma-satisfy doon sa ipapasa kong video, tapos eventually, after a few weeks… nakatanggap ako ng e-mail na na-shortlist ako. Eventually, I got interviewed,” he recalled.

(Submitting the video felt like I was auditioning for “The Clash” again because I could not get satisfied with the video that I wanted to pass, then eventually, after a few weeks… I received an e-mail stating that I was shortlisted. Eventually, I got interviewed.)

Bolden is one of the finalists in the first-ever season of “The Clash.” Golden Cañedo was named the grand champion during his time in the contest.

He has since released songs such as “Our Love,” “Lilipad Na” and “Pwede Pa Ba” under GMA Music.  /ra
