Hidilyn Diaz has tied the knot with her fiancé and also her coach-trainer Julius Naranjo in a Baguio wedding, exactly a year after she won the Philippines’ first Olympic gold medal.

The couple looked radiant in their wedding attire by veteran designer Francis Libiran, as shown on Nice Print Photography’s Instagram page yesterday, July 26. Diaz donned an off-shoulder embellished gown while Naranjo wore a barong with embroidered sleeves.

“Same day last year, [Hidilyn Diaz] won our country its first ever Olympic Gold. Today, she won yet another gold, as she married the love of her life,” the photography studio said.

Diaz also wore her Olympic gold medal, which was put on her by Naranjo, while the two of them were posing at the altar of St. Ignatius Church inside the Philippine Military Academy.

Diaz was also seen with her bridal bouquet made by set designer Gideon Hermosa, as shown on his Instagram page, also yesterday.

The couple celebrated their wedding in a reception filled with flowers and gold-hued ornaments. Gold accents were also present in the dining hall, as well as on the couple’s five-tier wedding cake with a miniature dumbbell at the bottom.

The attendance of fellow celebrities Angel Locsin, Judy Ann Santos and Iza Calzado, who were earlier announced as part of Diaz’s entourage, is yet to be confirmed as of writing; no photos of them from the event have been made public so far. Former Vice President Leni Robredo, who is a principal sponsor, was not able to attend but gave the couple a video message, as per reports.

Meanwhile, Diaz and Naranjo also threw a welcome party in Baguio for their loved ones a day before the wedding. JB
