Kryz Uy has slammed a fake Facebook account that used her name and photos of her 2-year-old son Scottie to “scam” people.
The vlogger warned fans against the fake account while showing one of its posts via her Instagram Stories yesterday, July 25. The poser’s post, which was tagged as “sponsored” content, featured a photo of Uy bonding with her son while holding a book for pre-school children. It also shows a link that seemingly leads netizens to an online store.
“Getting so many [direct messages] about this fake account. Using all variations of my name, making new accounts after the original gets reported and deleted. I don’t sell anything to my fans and I never pay to boost my posts,” Uy said.
“Most importantly, ‘wag niyo isama anak ko sa scam niyo (do not involve my child in your scam)! Already reached out to Facebook. Hope they will take it down soon,” she added.
Meanwhile, Uy recently expressed relief after her 7-week-old son Sevi underwent a successful surgery for inguinal hernia. Uy and her husband, fellow vlogger Slater Young, admitted they were “caught by surprise” over their baby’s condition as they thought Sevi was healthy.
The couple welcomed their firstborn Scottie in June 2020, while their second child Sevi was born last May. /ra
