Jodi Sta. Maria went on a vacation to Prague, Czech Republic, to mark her 40th birthday, as she explores Europe with her son Thirdy.
The actress reflected on how she feels about turning 40 while showing herself in Prague via a photo taken by Thirdy on her Instagram page yesterday, June 16.
“40. So far it’s been a great year for me. And as I cross the mid-point of my life, it’s grounded me in new ways,” she said.
Sta. Maria discussed the things she learned over the past four decades, from letting go to living an empowering life.
“Had to learn and unlearn certain things. Love and let go of situations and people. Ignore noises and live a life that’s empowering to me,” she told fans. “Stay calm and realize it’s okay not to have everything figured out. Consciously remind myself to be grateful in every situation and cast my cares on the Lord. Thank You Lord for the gift of life.”
Sta. Maria also thanked those who remembered her and sent her greetings while expressing gratefulness to God on her birthday.
Fellow celebrities Maricel Soriano, Shaina Magdayao, Angelica Panganiban, Jake Ejercito, Isabel Oli, Agot Isidro and Raymart Santiago were among those who sent their birthday wishes to Sta. Maria.
“Happy birthday to the most beautiful person I know inside and out. May your birthday be as beautiful and wonderful as you are,” Santiago told Sta. Maria.
“Blessed birthday, beautiful soul. My dear soul sister who deserves all the love and peace in the world. Celebrate na (already) when you get back,” Magdayao said.

Earlier this week, Sta. Maria spent time with her son in the Netherlands. She described Thirdy as her “favorite travel buddy” after they experienced wearing traditional Dutch clothing and explored the country’s capital, Amsterdam. /ra
