Ryan Gosling in first look as Ken for ‘Barbie’ draws mixed fan reactions
Warner Bros. has dropped the first look of Ryan Gosling as the boyfriend of Margot Robbie’s titular role in the upcoming live-action film “Barbie,” and it drew various reactions from netizens.
The Canadian actor turned into Ken sporting a blonde hair, tanned skin and a light-wash denim ensemble, as seen on Warner Bros. Pictures’ Twitter page today, June 16. Gosling also flaunted his toned abs as well as his “Ken” underwear.

Gosling’s first look teaser seems to have divided Twitter netizens who have varying takes over the actor being chosen to play the character. Some have approved and admired the look while some pointed out that Gosling is “too old” for the role.

Aside from Robbie, whose first look teaser was released last April, Gosling will be starring in the film alongside Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Will Ferrell, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, America Ferrera and Hari Nef. The film, directed by Greta Gerwig, will premiere on July 21, 2023. JB
