Ruffa Gutierrez cries every day over daughters and Yilmaz Bektas’ reunion, Annabelle Rama reveals

Ruffa Gutierrez cannot seem to get a hold of her emotions as she cries every day since her daughters Lorin and Venice met their dad Yilmaz Bektas after 15 years, as disclosed by the actress’ mom Annabelle Rama.
Rama, who serves as segment judge in the noontime show “It’s Showtime,” revealed this in an episode of the show on its Facebook page yesterday, June 15. The subject came up when Rama mentioned her granddaughters’ reunion while giving an advice to a “Showtime Sexy Babe” contestant who hopes to meet her father.
“‘Yung tungkol sa tatay mo na wala at hindi mo siya nakikita, magaling ka naman kumanta [kaya] ipagpatuloy mo ‘yung singing career mo kasi baka sumikat ka, at baka ang tatay mo ang [tumawag] or [magpakita] sa ‘yo,” Rama told the contestant. “Tulad ng dalawang apo ko, 17 si Venice, 18 si Lorin — 15 years nilang hindi nakita ‘yung tatay nila. Ngayon nagkita-kita na sila so baka swertehin ka [rin].”

Just like my two granddaughters, Venice is 17 years old while Lorin is 18 — they were not able to meet their father for 15 years. Show host Vice Ganda then noticed that Gutierrez was tearing up which led Rama to talk about the actress’ “daily” practice.
“Itong si mommy nakakaiyak ‘yung mga comment. Parang ako ‘yung natamaan (Mom’s comments are too heartrending. I feel like they are directed to me),” Gutierrez said, to which Rama replied, “Sa totoo lang, every day ka na umiiyak. Tama na ‘yan (To be honest, you have been crying every day. Stop it already).”
Raymond Gutierrez, who was also with Ruffa and Rama as segment judges, then interfered and clarified that they were tears of joy.
“Yes, tears of joy kasi after 15 years nga nag-reunite na sila (because after 15 years they have finally reunited),” Ruffa added.
Ruffa’s daughters recently went to Turkey to meet Bektas. Ruffa then stated that the reunion “took patience and a whole lot of faith” but was “worth the wait.”
Last February, Gutierrez marked the 10th year since their marriage got annulled, saying she has “no regrets” over their union and described it as a “bittersweet journey.” JB
