Miss World Philippines candidates looked stunning in their elegant gowns for the pageant’s national costume competition which had the theme Santacruzan.
The 36 delegates flaunted their beauty as Santacruzan queens, as seen on the Miss World Philippines’ Instagram page on Thursday, May 26. Aside from showcasing the candidates, the competition aimed to “celebrate the creativity and talent of world class Filipino designers.”
The Miss World Philippines organization announced its top 11 finalists for the said competition in an event held at Venice Grandcanal Mall in Taguig City, as seen on its Facebook page, also on Thursday.
Originally, only a top 10 was set to be announced, but a tie was revealed. Delegates included in the set are from Lambunao, Iloilo; San Jose del Monte, Bulakan and Balagtas, Bulacan; Marikina City; Parañaque City; Albay, Quezon; Negros Occidental and Misamis Oriental.
Meanwhile, the top 10 finalists for the “Beauty with a Purpose” challenge was also announced on the pageant’s Instagram page today, May 29. Among the finalists are delegates from Las Piñas City; Pampanga; Albay; San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan; Iloilo; Zambales; Quezon; Bulakan, Bulacan; Marikina City; and Davao del Norte.
A new Miss World Philippines titleholder, succeeding Tracy Maureen Perez, will be crowned on June 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena. JB
